Job description
- Lead complex projects from concept to production (research, 3D modeling, prototyping)
- Shape and evolve the design languages of Wenger and Victorinox
- Deliver precise design packages and specifications for smooth production
- Review and refine samples, balancing cost, quality, and brand strategy
- Represent design in cross-functional project meetings and influence key decisions
- Mentor and support designers, trainees, and interns
- Conduct trend research, benchmarking, and consumer insights for future strategies
- Own project milestones and ensure timely, aligned delivery
- Share insights to improve workflows and foster innovation (trends, AI, sustainability)
- Represent design at trade shows, market visits, and external events
- Drive creative pilot projects and innovation beyond standard briefs
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Product/Industrial Design or a related field
- Several years experience in product design, ideally in consumer goods or lifestyle brands
- Expertise in 3D modeling and rendering (e.g., Rhinoceros 3D or Siemens NX)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and production constraints
- Ability to translate brand identity into innovative, functional designs
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Creative thinker with a passion for aesthetics and usability
- Detail-oriented and quality-driven
- Collaborative and proactive in cross-functional environments
- Familiarity with trend analysis, sustainability, and emerging technologies (e.g., AI in design)
- Fluent in English (C1), German is a plus
